We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accountant to support our growing research operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial systems, reporting, and ensuring compliance with statutory and donor requirements.

Accountant Role Overview

• Maintain accurate accounting records, ledgers, and supporting documentation

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management

• Monitor project budgets and expenditure in line with funder reporting requirements

• Prepare and compile financial documentation for audits

• Ensure compliance with statutory obligations (LHDN, EPF, SOCSO, SST, etc)

• Liaise with external auditors, vendors, and finance-related stakeholders

• Support procurement and payment processing for project teams

• Provide administrative support related to grants, payroll, and financial tracking.

Qualifications Required

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with relevant experience preferred.

• Minimum 2 years of working experience in accounting software (e.g SQL, AutoCount, QuickBooks, or others)

• Strong attention to detail, good organisational skills, and integrity

• Familiar with financial reporting for grants or donor-funded projects is an advantage

• Able to communicate in English and Bahasa Melayu

• Experience in non-profit, research, or social impact organisations is a plus.
